9. Far-away and long-ago

My goal was to "patch" a clear Switzerland history onto our family's Texas history which itself dated from the early 1880's.   The Swiss family history, what wasn't forgotten completely, had turned into indistinct shadows.    Although now I knew my great-grandfathers' full name,  how could I ever attain the more difficult task, his far-away and long-ago Swiss history?

For every random "Swiss fact" that could be gleaned every few years, I tried to build upon it.
